Scam Awareness
LAST UPDATED: August 11, 2025
Online scams are on the rise, and here at Touchstorm and Touchstorm DATAlabs (formerly known as VideoAmigo), we’ve seen a recent increase in fraudulent activity targeting both job seekers and businesses. Your security is important to us, so below we share a few tips to help you recognize and avoid these schemes.
HOW TO CONTACT US OR REPORT A SUSPECTED SCAM:
- If you are ever unsure, please reach out to contact@touchstorm.com to ask about or report a questionable website, job offer, or message.
OFFICIAL WEBSITES:
- The following are our official and legitimate websites. Any other sites claiming to be us may be fraudulent.
ADDITIONAL TIPS:
- We’ll only ever ask for your personal information through our official, secure channels.
- You can trust that all official emails from us will come from one of these domains: @touchstorm.com, @touchstormdatalabs, or @videoamigo.com.
- Before joining a virtual meeting, please confirm the invite was sent from a @touchstorm.com email address.
- We will never send a job offer via messaging apps like Telegram or other social media. We do sometimes post jobs on LinkedIn and Indeed and may reach out to applicants there.
- We will never ask you for money to apply for or begin a job with us.
- We do not offer jobs that pay for views or clicks. If you receive a message like this, it’s a scam—please do not engage.
RESOURCES:
- If you think you’ve been targeted by a scam, here are some resources that can help.
- IN THE US: the Federal Trade Commission provides information on how to avoid being scammed online and what to do if you feel you have been scammed. You should report the crime through the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Internet Crime Complaint Center and with your local law enforcement.
- OUTSIDE OF THE US: Please contact your local police station to report.
